Artist Margit Schmitt worked at Vine Street Florist in Hudson, Wis., for many years, and received her bachelor of fine arts degree from the College of Visual Arts. Paint & Bloom combines those two loves, while preserving the part of your wedding day that fades the most quickly.
“I would see brides trying to figure out ways to preserve their bouquet, but there really isn’t a great way to do it. Dried flowers don’t maintain the look,” Schmitt notes. Her paintings capture the essence of the fresh blooms carefully selected for your bouquet and turn them it into a conversation piece that can hang on your wall for years to come.
Brides love the paintings, of course, but Schmitt has also worked with husbands to create anniversary gifts and brides who want to give their bridesmaids a special memento from the happy day.
Ordering is simple: Visit her website and select any size you’d like. Schmitt will send a tiny 2x2” painting to show a sample of the painting style. Then, upload a photo of the bouquet and Schmitt will render it in paint and send it to you in two to three weeks.
Schmitt loves hearing from happy brides, delighted with their new artwork. “It’s another way to bring back the excitement of your wedding day and remember it,” she says. “I love being part of the joy that surrounds weddings.” Paint & Bloom, paintandbloom.com
