Kransekake by Mandel

I had been so hesitant to order a Kransekake from Mandel Cake for my nephew’s wedding. I was very concerned that because it had to be shipped that it would not arrive in time or that it would be broken. Maggie was so nice and very patient with me as she explained the process that she and her team use to assure me of an extremely minimal risk of either of those events occurring. She provided me with her track record as evidence. So I placed my order.
Maggie was absolutely correct! My Kransekake arrived in a timely fashion and was waiting for me when I arrived from out of state for the wedding. When I unpacked it, there was no breakage.
The Kransekake was beautiful and delicious! My nephew was so pleased to have this special cake displayed and served at his wedding reception. It was very meaningful for our family as we honored our Norwegian heritage.
I will be ordering from Mandel Cake again without hesitation for our future special family events! Kudos to Maggie and her team!

I ordered a kransekake for my wedding and mostly for my Scandinavian husband, and they were kind enough to help me understand the difference between the Danish and Norwegian versions! Maggie and her team are absolutely amazing. Not only do they make a delicious kransekake, but their customer service goes above and beyond!
I first reached out to Mandel Cake in July 2021 to inquire about ordering a kransekake for my April 2022 wedding. Maggie was quick to respond and was incredibly helpful in choosing what size to get and when to place my order.
It turned out that my venue had very strict rules about bringing in outside food and required a COI (of which their terms changed frequently) . Maggie and I corresponded for months until we found a solution. She was so helpful and definitely eased my stress when my venue was making me anxious.
For my wedding, I ordered an 18 ring kransekake, cake stand, Norwegian pynte flagg, and a COI.
Maggie kept me informed of when my kransekake shipped and to make sure that it arrived intact. She also gave instructions on how to assemble everything.
The kransekake, stand and flags arrived a few days before my wedding and were wrapped very securely. Nothing was damaged in transit. The boxing was beautiful and also came with instructions.
The cake stand is absolutely gorgeous. I know I'll be using it for years to come. And the flags were sturdy and easy to put in the kransekake.
I didn't assemble the kransekake at my wedding, but I heard it was super simple!
It was such a hit with our guests (none of which were Norwegian!) that we barely got to eat any.
So we ordered a smaller one for Syttende Mai to enjoy all by ourselves :) I think we'll be making this a yearly tradition.
I would give Mandel Cake 100 stars if I could! They are doing wonderful work keeping Norwegian traditions alive. - Stephanie

I was born and raised in Norway, and grew up with Kransekake as a staple for any special event and occasion, and to be able to get it now in the US is unbelievable, I have ordered twice, once for Thanksgiving and again for my wedding, and needless to say, the comments from my guests on the Kransekake was fantastic, It tastes amazing, it looks amazing, the packaging is stunning, the speed of delivery is on point and on time, and the customer service is out of this world, Maggie is as kind and caring as the day is long, I will continue ordering from Mandel over and over and over, it's almost like I am back home in every bite.
