Weddings filled with personal touches are undoubtedly the most delightful to attend (and be a part of). Thanks to the locally made and entirely charming Oh Dier signs, brides and grooms have one more option for personalizing their affair.
Handmade by St. Paul architectural designer-turned-artist William Dohman, Oh Dier signs are completely customizable, featuring short phrases or catchwords in graphic script and paint combinations. He regularly crafts wedding-appropriate signs that read “Mr.” and “Mrs.,” “You & Me,” “Love,” or “Adore,” but he can also create any sign you can think of, perhaps featuring the couple’s names, their pet names, or a short saying that has significance in the history of their courtship. The signs usually hang at the reception, he notes, then are taken home as sweet and trendy wall art for the wedded pair.
Even better? All of Dohman’s signs are made of reclaimed and recycled materials, be it an old stair baluster or an odd piece of sheeting from a new roof, which he shapes and colors into a piece of art. “It’s important to me to be eco-friendly and make new uses for things,” he explains.
