Wedding: June 16, 2018
Ceremony: St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, Minneapolis
Reception: A'BULAE, St. Paul
Honeymoon: Maui
Amanda Shimota and Nate Condon knew they wanted to honor tradition at their wedding, which is why they chose to wed at the same church where Amanda’s parents were married more than 20 years earlier; a piece of her mom’s wedding dress was even sewn into Amanda’s gown. (To keep with the family theme, the dress was purchased at Annika Bridal Boutique, the dress shop of Amanda’s cousin. “Knowing me my whole life, she knew exactly what designer I’d love and led me right to the gown of my dreams,” Amanda says.) The couple, who met while attending the University of Minnesota, picked A'BULAE for their reception because of its classic chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking downtown St. Paul. Those features “made it a completely undeniable venue in my mind,” Amanda says.
