When Wynne Reece made the difficult decision to leave La vie Charmé, the successful wedding planning company she started in 2013, to focus on her career as a lawyer (and growing her brainchild, Creative’s Counsel, which provides affordable legal work to creatives and small businesses), there was a bit of a twitter in the local luxury wedding community; who would put on the awe-inducing events that LVC so beautifully executed? Enter Ashley Ebert, Reece’s friend and the owner of the Simply Elegant Group, a Midwest planning firm that caters to the everyday couple.
“While we love what we do, my team has expressed a great interest in working within the luxury wedding planning market,” Ebert says. “When we opened the door to dream together on how we could bring luxury to Simply Elegant, this was the answer.”
Ebert purchased Reece’s luxury planning company, creating La vie Charmé by Simply Elegant. The new brand focuses solely on couples seeking an exclusive planning experience for their grand events (read: those jaw-dropping celebrations for which LVC had become known).
By combining the best of both worlds—spectacular events on tight and not-so-tight budgets—the Simply Elegant team can now fully flex their creative planning muscles.
“Our team has been excited about this opportunity for more than two years, says Ebert. “I am so thrilled to have Wynne’s company live on through our team.”
Two wedding planning powerhouses combine, with luxe events for stylish couples.
